About the Role

This position will play a crucial role in leading a small elite team in driving strategic and tactical initiatives under TDA Transformation; able to identify and initiate transformation programs that drive our operating efficiency. Work with key business / TDA stakeholders to ensure business focused, strong alignment and successful execution of the initiatives; and determine and manage the transformation backlog, priorities and risks when executing strategic cross platform business focused initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Drive and execute impact initiatives that drive efficiencies in AIA Hong Kong TDA’s landscape through optimization of processes, technologies, and shared services
  • Assist in providing TDA strategic roadmaps for optimization of the technology portfolio through strong business alignment, operations efficiency and strategic consolidation
  • Experience in defining performance measures (both financial and non-financial) such as SLAs and TATs within IT operations to measure impact of initiatives
  • Providing research, insight, and analysis on leading industry IT trends to adopt within the AIA Hong Kong IT landscape
  • Work with other IT senior management members and group office to ensure alignment of strategic direction of business and IT initiatives/direction
  • Manage cross platform initiatives that have shared enablers across channel, mid-office, and back-office tiers in the AIA Hong Kong IT Landscape
  • Utilize program management methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor cross-platform transformation projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
  • Apply agile methodologies, to drive iterative and incremental delivery of transformation initiatives.
  • Defining and prioritizing transformation backlog items based on business value, user needs, and strategic objectives.
  • Lead transformation initiatives, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Identify and leverage cross-platform synergies to optimize processes, technologies, and shared services across the AIA Hong Kong TDA landscape.
  • Collaborate with IT SMTs and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and adoption of transformation initiatives, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University graduate with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with people management experience
  • Proven experience in leading and managing cross-platform programs, utilizing program management methodologies and agile practices.
  • Proven experience in leading IT transformation initiatives through process, technology engineering and change management in an enterprise IT
  • Proven experience to identify innovation opportunities, define and deliver innovative solutions
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
  • Able to work in fast paced and challenging environments
  • Creative thinker, proactive, enthusiastic, able to work independently and as a team player
  • Business knowledge in insurance industry
  • Excellent communication, coaching and consultative skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of digital transformation trends and technologies, and their application in enhancing operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Familiarity with cross-platform projects and ability to identify and leverage synergies across different business areas and technology platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, Background in consulting or experience of project delivery will be plus
