Who you are:

This person will be responsible for identifying business opportunities within the market and concluding direct sales of Alfa Laval products and services within a defined area of responsibility (e.g. geographical, group of customer, industry or product group etc.).

About the job:

Main purpose of the job / Mission:

  • This position is responsible to expand our customer base for marine market in Hong Kong & Macau. Primary responsibility is to sell our services such as repair, re-conditioning, upgrading, replacement of equipment and to support inside sales to sell spare parts to ship owner, ship management company, repair shipyard, trading company etc..
  • To promote Alfa Laval Marine Heat & Gas system(Boiler, Exhaust Gas Cleaning system, Inert Gas System)  service portfolio to our Hong Kong customers(Shipowners, ship management companies and repair shipyards)

Key tasks:

Responsibilities:

  • Ultimately, you are expected to ensure to meet/exceed the expectation of business objectives and contribute to our company’s success.
  • Create sales plans in alignment with business objectives
  • Promote our services to marine market (& possibly engine power industry) via channel or directly to customers and expand market coverage for both large and small customers.
  • Understand market needs and required services to expand the business
  • Collaborate with internal resources such as technical team, inside sales and customer support Centre for daily business and towards the solution.
  • Preparing and developing sales material to explain our services to customers
  • Manage the customer payment situation and chase A/R.
  • Maintain the customer database

What you know:

Knowledge:

  • 5+ years sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably technical background
  • Major in marine engineering is plus.
  • Skills: Fluent written and spoken English;
  • Customer service oriented
  • Cross-cultural awareness
  • Good command of PC skills
  • Work in engine room onboard and knowledge on boiler business is an advantage
