Principal Consultant - Sustainable Finance (ESG Due Diligence, Value Creation)

We are seeking an experienced and connected Principal Consultant to join our team in Hong Kong with a focus on private sector financial institutions (PSFIs). This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business in a senior role, and brings access to ERM's worldwide network of experts, best practices, and learning opportunities. The role also offers a potential ‘pathway to partnership’.

Key service areas that you would help build and deliver include:

  • Environmental & Social Due Diligence, with emphasis on value creation opportunities.

  • Green/Social/Sustainability-Linked financial product frameworks and SPOs.

  • International standard environmental & social due diligence, e.g., ref. EP4, IFC PS, ADB ESS.

  • PSFI and portfolio company ESG strategy advisory including materiality assessment, science-based and Net Zero GHG targets, and roadmap development and implementation.

  • Reporting services including inter alia UN PRI and EU SFDR.

Familiarity with emerging Natural Capital services for PSFIs would be a bonus.

You will be expected to help build and develop a team of consultants.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS

  • Master’s degree in a relevant science, engineering, or business discipline preferred.

  • Minimum 12 years’ business development and execution experience in the above services.

  • Experience in people and project management.

  • Strong communication skills in written / spoken English and Cantonese and/or Mandarin.

  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision
