- Execute legal proceedings as instructed by Department Head including but not limited to gather information and liaise with external solicitors to ensure the progress is on schedule
- Examine and review all legal documents including but not limited to letter before action, writ of summons, statutory demand, bankruptcy petition and commercial contract, etc.
- Assist Department Head to manage legal risk and provide professional legal consultation to the Company
- Conduct and review land search, company search, winding up and bankruptcy search
- Conduct legal research and seek for information from Court decision and enrich legal knowledge of the department through sharing
- Advise Department Head or Top Management when there is any change of existing law or regulation in connection with money lenders
- Responsible for endorsement when necessary
- Support official training and company functions/activities
- Participate in departmental meetings to ensure adequate communication across department and Top Management to pursue Company's visions and strategy
- Participate in functional committee to achieve the targets set by the Top Management with other members
- Support any ad-hoc projects and tasks as per assigned by superior
- Bachelor Degree in Law, or equivalent qualifications at HKQF level 5
- At least 7 years of legal working experience in Legal Sector, including litigation and/ or conveyancing matters or relevant field
- Up-to-date knowledge of developments in relevant industry sector
- Ability to handle a diverse range of issues independently
- Self-motivated, attentive to details with strong sense of responsibility
- Able to keep things in confidential manner
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Candidate with relevant post qualification experience will be an added advantage
